Born in Upton Park London was the multi-talented Ernest Maxin:
He was the producer, director, choreographer and creator of musical
comedy for the Morecambe and Wise Show.
He first met Eric and Ernie at the seaside resort of Torquay in the 1960's.
In 1970 he started choreographing the dance routines on the MAWS.
He succeeded John Ammonds as producer/director in 1974.
He was the mastermind 'behind the scenes' of the boys success!!
For his role in the classic 1977 "South Pacific" sketch Ernest picked up
a special award from the Television Industry. He was also the man behind
the great 'Singin' in the Rain' sketch.
