Actress born in Liverpool in 1937. She appeared in the BBC's Morecambe and Wise shows from series 2 to 7. A running gag through most of the series had the amply proportioned (49-33-44) bit-part actress appearing at the end of each programme, thanking viewers for watching her show.

She'd say something like this: 'I'd like to thank all of you for watching me and my little show here tonight, if you've enjoyed it then its all been worthwhile. So, until we meet again, goodnight and I love you all.'

This would be followed by her being showered in gifts such as flowers, boxes of chocolates and the like. Owing to ill-health she stopped appearing regularly in 1972 but did make ocassional cameo appearances in the Morecambe & Wise show until 1974.

Janet appeared alongside Zero Mostel and the great Phil Silvers in the
classic film A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum.

She also starred in the Frankie Howerd sitcom Whoops Baghdad!!
and in a rather risque movie entitled Vera - The Amorous Milkman.
