Sid Green was born in Beacontree, Essex on the 24th January 1928.
Sid was the writing partner of Dick Hills both of whom wrote extensively for
Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise for their first starring show Two Of A Kind (1961)
for ATV and subsequently for The Morecambe & Wise Show (1968) in its first
series. The duo left Morecambe and Wise in 1968, after Eric had a heart scare,
to concentrate on other writing tasks.
Later, they both returned to write again for Eric and Ernie in 1978.
