Liz Hancock, 28/11/09,
Just a word to say I still laugh to myself when I think of the two of
them. Watching the square egg skit was the first time I saw my
Father cry, with laughter. I am now in my early 60s and hav seen a
bit of the world, but will always remember E and E with fondness.

I have many fond memories of Eric and Ernie, and like many
families of the times we looked forward to sitting down as a family
to watch their shows, a pastime which now seems so dated.
My 11 year old daughter also loves their shows and recently we
mangaged to visit Morecombe and the statue in honour of Eric.
We spent around 2 hours there as my daughter wanted to read
everything but I have to say it was the best 2 hours we have spent
in sometime and found ourselves singing the wonderful 'Bring me
sunshine' tune out loud whilst reading the quotes. It would be
lovelyto see a statue in tribute to Ernie and my daughter has said
she has heard there is going to be one soon. When it does I am sure we will spend another wonderful day singing and giggling together.

James Wiseman, 05/09/09,
Sadly they are still missed greatly - I would love to see some out-takes of my uncle Ernie. - I wish the BBC or ITV would look in their archives - then compile a show - documentary . I think, having been at some of their recordings of the shows - that the outtakes are an excellent insight in talent and timing also - You can see how they could just bounce off one another inspirationally, off the cuff- and bring those giggle bubbles we all love to the surface. From a tough up-bringing they shone through with hard work, trial and error dedication, commitment and family support - this really was a magic pair! My father [ Ernies' brother was a huge fan obviously and they chatted and met when time allowed - and I
had the good fortune of my DAD Gordon Wiseman who was also a humerous man - it must have rubbed off on him!] I remember them discussing sketches and jokes and laughing warmly - my father even submitted some good working sketches and jokes and ideas as being brothers they were very similar. Xmas specials in our house was a very special ocassion as we loved the comedy that both ERIC and Ernie provided. James Wiseman - NEPHEW.

It's my life's ambition to go to Morecambe and see the statue of Eric- these two men cannot be replaced in the world of Comedy, no one can even come close to them. They were, and always will be legends. This is a fantastic website, the soundclips are now my ringtones so I can laugh every time I get a message :)
