Eric and Ernie made their television debut on the talent show Parade of Youth.
This programme was transmitted on the BBC on 28 September 1951

Subsequent TV appearances were as follows

23 December 1953: Pantomime Party - A BBC variety show also starring Josef Locke

21 April 1954: Running Wild - The duo are given their own six show series by the BBC - Although Eric wanted the series scrapped after three shows due to poor scriptwriting.  The critics panned the show. Luckily not a lot of the population had TV at the time so the damage to their reputations could eventually be repaired.

1956: The Winifred Atwell Show - The duo return as the resident comedians on this ITV programme. With the scripts being written by the virtually unknown Johnny Speight.

1 July 1956: Variety Cavalcade - Back with the BBC for this extravaganza.

11 August 1957: Double Six - A 'live' show hosted by the duo at the BBC.

15 November 1958: The Bob Monkhouse Hour - A guest appearance

1960: Val Parnell's Sunday Night At The London Palladium - The lads appeared twelve times on this show.
